Prayer for Peace and Justice
O God of all people of the earth. We pray for peace and
justice
We pray for all the families who have suffered injustice at
the hand of others.
We pray for those who live without peace, those who fear for
their own lives or the lives of their loved ones.
We pray for those prophets who exercise their right to
protest; who demand justice and direct our eyes to where
injustice lives in society. We pray for strength and their
safety.
We pray for ourselves--that we will see and repent of the sins
of prejudice and discrimination, where we see it in others and
in ourselves.
Today, we pray for peace and justice to break through on earth
among all God's children. Amen.
